After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Identify the etiology, clinical presentation, and risk factors for BED.
  2. Outline the appropriate history, physical exam, and criteria for assessing and diagnosing BED.
  3. Summarize the available nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic strategies and approaches for treating BED.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will be able to demonstrate competency in clinical reasoning for identifying risk factors, assessing, testing, and providing treatment for binge-eating disorder (BED) by achieving a posttest score of 70% or greater.
