After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Identify the factors that pose an increased risk for children developing or having asthma.
  2. Recognize the climate conditions creating hazards that can affect children with asthma.
  3. Select the appropriate strategies for helping to mitigate the effects of climate change on children with asthma.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will demonstrate knowledge of the effects of climate change on the local environment and how those changes influence childhood asthma by achieving a minimum score of 70% on the outcomes-based posttest.
