Mortality rates from sepsis are estimated to be between 30% and 50%. The surviving sepsis guidelines were developed in an attempt to decrease this deadly syndrome. This presentation will discuss what is new in the guidelines, the epidemiology of sepsis, the bundles, and what you need to know to care for a septic patient. We'll also highlight key points with a case-based study.
