Purpose of Activity

To provide middle managers with information to help them recognize signs and symptoms of elder physical abuse, teach their staff members to recognize such signs and symptoms, and create a workplace environment that prevents the occurrence of physical abuse.

Learning Objectives/Outcomes

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Recognize, and teach staff members to recognize, the signs and symptoms of elder physical abuse.
  2. Identify, and teach staff members to identify, interventions to deal with and prevent elder physical abuse.
