Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Summarize the methodology used to implement the improvement initiative to enhance LGBTQ+ cultural competence among health care providers within a labor and delivery and mother-baby unit.
  2. Specify the elements of the LGBTQ+ competency bundle (CB).
  3. Synthesize the results of the improvement project.

Learning Outcomes

By the conclusion of this activity, a majority of the participants will demonstrate knowledge of the implementation of an evidence-based LGBTQ+ competency bundle within a labor and delivery unit and mother-baby unit by achieving a passing score on the posttest.
