- Recognize the impact of nurses' attitude on patient care as revealed by a subpopulation of labor and delivery unit nurses in Colorado.
- Identify Colorado nurse colleagues' attitudes and behaviors related to interacting with pregnant patients with substance use disorders (SUD).
- Identify Colorado nurse colleagues' attitudes and behaviors related to interacting with pregnant patients with mental health concerns.
- Describe educational foci for patients and nurses related to SUD and/or mental health concerns of pregnant patients.
Learning Outcomes
By the conclusion of this activity, a majority of participants will demonstrate knowledge of a study examining how labor and delivery unit nurses in Colorado interact with patients with substance use disorders or mental health concerns by achieving a passing score on the posttest.Disclosures
