Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Apply the Wound Bed Preparation 2021 Paradigm to the care of a patient with a wound.
  2. Select appropriate local wound treatments based on a patient's wound classification.
  3. Identify signs of vascular compromise.
  4. Identify the necessary components of an initial wound assessment.
  5. Recognize issues that are critical to safe debridement practice.

Learning Outcomes

A majority of the participants of this activity will demonstrate knowledge of the management of a patient with a wound, including the use of wound debridement, by achieving a passing score on the posttest.
