Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Recognize common terms and associated with sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) and their definitions.
  2. Identify evidence-based health recommendations specific to care for the LGBTQIA2+ community.
  3. Apply LGBTQIA2+-affirming care measures to address health disparities related to SOGI.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will be able to demonstrate competency in clinical reasoning for caring for patients who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual, two-spirit, or other minority sexual and gender identities (LGBTQIA2+) across the lifespan using evidence-based sexual healthcare by achieving a posttest score of 70% or greater.
