Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Identify the characteristics of the sample used for the study of the impact of ACEs on pregnancy and birth outcomes among AI and NHW women.
  2. Select the results of the study of the impact of adverse childhood experiences on pregnancy and birth outcomes among AI and NHW women.
  3. Compare and contrast the results of this study with those of previous researchers of these populations.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will demonstrate knowledge of a study examining the impact of adverse childhood experiences ACEs on pregnancy and birth outcomes, comparing American Indian (AI) and Non-Hispanic White (NHW) women, by achieving a minimum score of 70% on the outcomes-based posttest.
