After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Explain the incorporation of acupuncture as an adjuvant for relief of cancer pain.
  2. Summarize how acupuncture can be incorporated into postoperative pain management strategies.
  3. Identify the ability to reduce opioid use by substitution of acupuncture.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will demonstrate knowledge regarding the evidence-based use of acupuncture to treat several conditions, especially when other management techniques have failed, by achieving a minimum score of 70% on the outcomes-based posttest.
