After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Recognize the methodology used for the study of the ability of fall risk assessment scores to predict which patients will fall during inpatient rehabilitation.

  3. Choose the results of the study that offer insight to clinicians evaluating the use of fall prediction tools.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will demonstrate knowledge of a study evaluating the ability of the Hester Davis Scale (HDS) and a facility's fall risk assessment scores to predict patients' risk of falls during inpatient rehabilitation by achieving a minimum score of 70% on the outcomes-based posttest.
