Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Identify the pathophysiology of HIV/AIDS and barriers to patient care at the end-of-life.
  2. Explain best practices for symptom management for patients with HIV/AIDS at the end-of-life care.
  3. Describe compassionate end-of-life care for patients with HIV/AIDS.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will be able to demonstrate knowledge about compassionate evidence-based care for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/ acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) population at end of life by achieving a posttest score of 70% or greater.
