Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Evaluate the common causes of intrapartum fever.
  2. Synthesize the existing literature regarding the diagnosis and management of intraamniotic infection.
  3. Explain antibiotic stewardship for parturients and their neonates using evidence-based diagnostic criteria and recommended treatment.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will demonstrate competency in clinical reasoning regarding antibiotic stewardship in the setting of intrapartum fever by achieving a minimum score of 70% on the outcomes-based posttest.
