  1. Identify the consequences of decreased functional status and the barriers to instituting mobility programs in acute care.
  2. Describe the patient perceptions of mobility and the relationship with symptom burden in the current study.
  3. Explain the interventions that can be instituted to improve perceptions of mobility among hospitalized patients.

Seventy-five percent of participants will demonstrate knowledge about older adult patients? perceptions of barriers to in-hospital mobility, achieving a minimum score of 70% on the outcomes-based posttest.
