  1. Identify the racial- and gender-based health inequities relevant to the NICU environment.
  2. Select the recommendations from the National Association of Neonatal Nurses that address racial disparities in the NICU.
  3. Define the key concepts that address supporting Black infants and families at the societal level of the socioecological model.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will demonstrate knowledge of racial health disparities in the NICU and appropriate interventions and equitable responses of NICU clinicians by achieving a minimum score of 70% on the outcomes-based posttest.
