Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Participants will describe how workplace incivility affects the nurse personally and professionally, resulting in increased potential for harm to patients.
  2. Participants will identify how and why advocacy is an essential aspect of the nurse's role in patient care.
  3. Participants will apply the concept of moral courage and truth from Scripture that will embolden them to speak up in the face of incivility to reduce harm to patients.

A majority of the participants will demonstrate knowledge of the effect of incivility on patients by achieving a passing score on the post-test.
