Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Summarize the impact of the e-learning module on clinical competence in accurately assessing pain in hospitalized infants using the PIPP-R.
  2. Recognize the importance of accurate infant pain assessment and the utility of the PIPP-R in assessing infant pain.
  3. Evaluate the literature informing the authors study of electronic health learning.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will demonstrate knowledge of a study examining the impact of a Premature Infant Pain Profile-Revised (PIPP-R) e-learning module on registered nurses? competency in neonatal pain assessment by achieving a minimum score of 70% on the outcomes-based posttest.
