Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Compare the distribution of the implementation outcomes related to the National Protocol for Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examinations (SAFE) for sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) programs and victim advocates.
  2. Identify the extent to which implementation outcomes are related to one another.
  3. Analyze the relationships between implementation outcomes and individual and program characteristics for SANEs.
  4. Assess the relationships between implementation outcomes and individual and program characteristics for advocates.
  5. Discover the level of agreement between SANE programs' and victim advocates' reported implementation levels of SAFE protocol provisions in their jurisdiction.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will demonstrate knowledge of the implementation of the National Protocol for Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examinations by achieving a minimum score of 70% on the posttest.
