  1. Identify hindrances to parental readiness for transition to home care for Black preterm infants from an NICU.
  2. Recognize issues that improve parental satisfaction and readiness to care for their Black preterm infants at home.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will demonstrate knowledge of factors related to perceived parental readiness to assume care for their Black preterm infant after neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) discharge by achieving a minimum score of 70% on the outcomes-based posttest.
