After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Identify patients at risk for dental erosion and the signs/symptoms that occur when dental erosion develops.
  2. Recognize the endogenous and exogenous factors that contribute to dental erosion.
  3. Describe patient education that nurses can provide to help at-risk patients learn strategies for preventing dental erosion.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will be able to demonstrate knowledge in identifying patients at-risk for dental erosion and providing strategies for dental erosion prevention by achieving a posttest score of 70% or greater.
