After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Recognize the clinical practice guidelines that address pain management.
  2. Select the risk factors for opioid use among patients who have cancer pain.
  3. Identify current evidence for managing cancer pain with or without opioids.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will demonstrate knowledge of the management of severe cancer-related pain in patients who have a co-occurring opioid use disorder by achieving a minimum score of 70% on the outcomes-based posttest.
