To provide information about a faith-based enhancement and evaluation of an established evidence-based community health risk reduction program developed to be culturally relevant for African Americans.

Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Select the relevant components the authors used in designing their enhanced evidence-based faith community healthrisk reduction program.
  2. Identify the results of the authors' faith-based enhancement of a community health-risk reduction program that could lend insight into the needs of African Americans at risk for hypertension.
  3. Apply the lessons learned from this evidence-based community health risk reduction program to design a similar program in a parish setting.
