Purpose of Activity

To compare the effectiveness of a newly developed mobility technician (MT) model to a traditional physical therapy (PT) model in the early ambulation of total joint replacement (TJR) patients.

  1. Summarize the relevant literature regarding early patient ambulation following TJR and the methodology used for this study.
  2. Explain the results of the study comparing the effectiveness of the MT model with a traditional PT model.
