Learning Objectives/Outcomes

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Examine one intervention to improve the door-to-electrocardiogram [ECG] (DTE) time for adult patients arriving to the emergency department with signs or symptoms of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and the American Heart Association?s (AHA) guidelines for these patients.
  2. Evaluate one result from a quality improvement project aimed at improving the rate at which pain scores are reassessed and documented for ED patients with extremity pain.
