- Identify causes of constipation and the dietary changes, bulk forming agents, surfactants, and stimulants used to treat it.
- Summarize the use of osmotic agents and laxatives to treat constipation, as well as pharmacologic treatments for opioid-induced constipation (OIC) and chronic idiopathic constipation.
