Shock Talk is an audio learning activity developed to support clinical practice for NPs and PAs in managing distributive shock. This episode focuses the importance adequate preparation of new graduates of advanced practice provider programs to improving the quality of care of patients with distributive shock.

Learning Objectives/Outcomes

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Describe the educational training methods to aid a physician assistant (PA) new graduate with the transition period from novice to practicing critical care PA.
  2. List educational tools that would improve the success of PA new graduate training and survival of patients with sepsis and distributive shock.
